Wat is de carrierèdag?
De carrièredag is bedoeld voor studenten van de bachelor opleidingen Bio-medische wetenschappen, Biologie, Psychobiologie en de master opleidingen Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences en Life Sciences. De carrièredag wordt georganiseerd vanuit de studievereniging Congo in samenwerking met de Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA). Deze dag vindt plaats op het Sciencepark in Amsterdam. Het Science Park ligt in het oostelijk deel van Amsterdam. Het is een knooppunt van vooraanstaand onderwijs, hoogwaardig onderzoek en kennisintensieve bedrijven, dat biedt kansen om van elkaars aanwezigheid en kennis gebruik te maken.

De doelgroep
De studenten van de levenswetenschappen studies aan de UvA zijn de voornaamste doelgroep. De dag is voornamelijk interessant voor masterstudenten. Zij zijn op zoek naar een baan in de nabije toekomst. Bachelor studenten willen graag weten wat voor richtingen zij op kunnen gaan met hun carrière zodat zij de juiste master hiervoor kiezen. De afgelopen jaren hebben wij ruim 250 bachelor en masterstudenten mogen ontvangen. Kortom, dit is voor uw bedrijf een goede gelegenheid om jong en fris talent te ontmoeten.

Wat zijn uw mogelijkheden op deze carrièredag?
Op deze carrièredag is er een markt waar uw bedrijf in gesprek kan gaan met de studenten en u de studenten kunt informeren over de activiteiten van uw bedrijf. Er is ook de mogelijkheid voor bedrijven om workshops of trainingen te geven aan studenten. Dit kunnen bijvoorbeeld trainingen zijn die bijdragen aan een verbeterde positie op de arbeidsmarkt, bijvoorbeeld sollicitatietrainingen. Eerdere jaren hebben we al bedrijven en instituten zoals ACE Venture Lab, het AMOLF instituut, Brein In Beeld, Blue Linked, Check Mark, het Donders Instituut, Eerste de Klas, EnzaZaden, Go4Master, het Green Student Lab, het ILO, KplusV, de MPA master, Neurensics, RijkZwaan, Sanquin, Seedvalley, Studelta, Students for Students, TAQT, de Tesla master, Training op Maat, VHTO en Young Advisory Group mogen verwelkomen op deze dag.

Deze carrierèdag is gericht op het goed matchen van studenten en bedrijven. Daarom is er voor uw bedrijf veel ruimte om uw aanwezigheid vorm te geven naar uw eigen wensen. U kunt meedoen aan ons vaste programma (de markt of workshop) maar als u iets anders in gedachten had, schroom dan niet om ons te contacteren. Zo krijgt uw bedrijf de volledige mogelijkheid om u kenbaar te maken aan de studenten in een representatieve sfeer.

What is the career day?
The career day of the 9th of november is meant for biomedical, biology and psychobiology students from the faculty of science. The career day is organized by the study society Congo. This day will take place at the Sciencepark in Amsterdam. Since 2010, the scientific research and educational activities at Sciencepark are organized in one comprehensive faculty. This is motivated by developments in both science and society, with new challenges often found in the overlap of several disciplines. Students at the Science faculty make use of the newest equipment’s and have room for both differentiation and specialization.
The career day will take place from 13:00 until 18:00. At the poster below this page you will find the set program for the career day.

What is the target group of the career day?
About 250 bachelor and master students are expected attend the career day. Mostly master students will attend the career day. Those students are looking for jobs in the near future. The bachelor students are looking for a career path in order to choose the fitting master for this career. Hence, this is a great opportunity for your company to meet young and ambitious talent.

What are your possibilities at the career day?
On this career day there is a market where your company can engage in conversations with the students in order to inform students about the activities of your company. There is also a possibility for companies to give workshops to the students. These workshops could improve the student’s position on the employment market, for example a workshop on solicitation skills.For the past years we have had the pleasure to welcome several companies to our career day, for example Seedvalley, Studelta, ACE and ILO.

This career day is all about the good matching of students en companies. Therefore, your company has lots of possibilities to shape this career day to your individual wishes and needs.
